On my time off, I like go boating and wakeboarding, rving, play basketball and racquetball. I play golf occasionally. I have been coaching youth basketball for quite a while now even though I don't have a son on a youth team anymore. This year I am taking off since I have a lot going on in my life. But plan on coaching again next year. Really enjoy coaching and having the kids learn throughout the season. I am also the co-chairing president of the youth boys’ basketball program for 5th-8th grades for the Cherry Creek feeder teams. This year we have 9 teams and around 85 kids in the program that I am in charge of. I graduated from Cherry Creek in 1986 and played basketball, soccer and ran track there. My sport I truly love is basketball. Graduated from Metro State in Denver with a business degree and played basketball on scholarship for Metro State. Our 1989-90 team was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Metro State in Feb 2010. Won the Great Northwest Conference first time in school history with a record 28-4, first ever NCAA tournament appearance, first ever tournament win (beat University of South Dakota), beat a Division I team (University of Mississippi) and the first nationally televised games for Metro State. I have two beautiful kids, Tyler graduated from Cherry Creek High and is attending the University of Colorado in Boulder and is a sophomore. Austin is a senior at Creek. Austin is looking at the University of Colorado and University of Arizona. GO BUFFS. They both are very intelligent and fine young men. Tyler was on the tennis team when he attended Creek and Austin is on the basketball and lacrosse team at Creek. We have an Australian Shepard mix and her name is Sydney. She is wild and crazy. I have lived in the Denver area since I was 5 years old. I was born in Canon City, CO, for those not familiar with Colorado it is about 2 hour drive southwest from Denver. Love this state. |
