I come to real estate with a lot of experience with people! I have been a public, private and even a pre-school educator for a lot of years- teaching every age from diapers to college.  I loved it because I love giving people tools for success and helping them get to their goals! I have served people for years in church settings-people of all ages and needs. I walked into real estate with the same expectations of helping people get to their goals and understanding the process as well as being a vital part of how the process happens. I love empowering people for success, and in real estate it's especially fulfilling because people are succeeding at such a core thing in their lives: their homes. There's nothing like seeing first time home buyers at a closing getting the keys to their first home, or seeing people complete the sale of their home so they can move on to their next housing goal.

It means a great deal to me to serve our military families in helping to find the housing they need while a family member is actively serving our nation at home or abroad.  I have 2 brothers who served in the military, grew up in a military town during the war in Vietnam and seem to always be living in a community where the military is a vital part. Serving these families is a point of honor for me.

When it became apparent to me that our current real estate market was tilting heavily toward distressed properties like short sales, foreclosures and bank-owned, I decided it was time to be expert at helping people negotiate a need to sell without foreclosure, and help people buy with the special challenges of the distressed property market.  That's when I got my CDPE designation-Certified Distressed Property Expert.  We're in a unique time in our market, but it is also a time for unique opportunities as well. The amazing training that I received and continue to receive in distressed properties makes me able to help my buying and selling clients more than just get through, but to also have a great experience in attaining their goals.  It's what I love!
