Before becoming a Realtor, I was a combat medic in the Air Force, then a teacher and later a pastor at two churches in Oregon and Washington. I worked in higher education as Dean Of Students at Judson College and later as a teacher at Western Bible College in Denver. I've taught courses at several schools including Colorado Christian University, and, as a Certified Colorado Teacher, I occasionally substitute in music at Denver Public Schools. I have bachelor and master degrees plus on-going education as a Realtor and Home Inspector. I am one of the few Realtors who has completed Real Estate Appraisal School, and I worked as a professional Appraiser for a number of years. I own the $129 Home Inspection Company which does Certified Home Inspections for Buyers, Banks and other Realtors. I've enjoyed over 30 years as a Realtor. Most of that time was with Re/Max where I was fortunate enough to receive several awards including Realtor Of The Year for several years. In 2001 I joined METRO BROKERS TO BECOME A BROKER / OWNER. I am blessed to have my son, Phil, as a business partner, and there are about 15 other associates in our office at Wadsworth and Hampden Avenue. As some of the busiest brokers in Lakewood, Littleton and Southwest Denver, it seems that we have developed a reputation for hard work and client care. The attitudes I developed as a pastor seem to serve me well as I try to meet each person's real estate needs, one by one. When not selling homes, I like spending time with my college teacher wife, Maggie, or playing with our Beagle on our one acre home overlooking Fox Hollow Golf Course and Bear Creek. I also relax by playing gospel bluegrass on my guitar. We prioritize church activities and occasionally travel to South America or Asia. |
